I've searched over the web and you'll find this question alot. Running away doesn't seem to help, as they just throw them whereever I run to.

I was in the process of doing an escort mission in Call of Chernobyl (it's not too bad, at least you can order the companions to not engage anyone and just follow you) and I got killed like 10 times in a row by grenades. One aggrivating and nearly impossible without quicksave spams, the other feeling like a classic arcade shooter without changing any game mechanics.Hey, the laser guided homing grenades are really starting to piss me off. I'm really amazed at how different these two missions were. It's a lot of fun, and if you want, you can loot the corpses for some extra junk to sell and replenish your ammo. As long as you have a decent assault or sniper rifle with a scope, you can pick off the waves of zombies.

This mission is fun! Once you realize where the zombies are coming from, you feel like you're playing a round of 'House of the Dead'. Oh.and because the creatures appear right on top of you from every direction, it constantly disrupts the scientist and it takes FOREVER! Only by spaming quicksave states could I have possibly beaten that.the chances of the two escorts surviving more than the first minute were simply not an option. It's pretty bad when you're wearing an exo-skeleton, load yourself up with shotgun shells, an assault rifle with several hundred rounds, a Black Kite 45, and you STILL run out of ammo before the measurements are taken.

Even a few well aimed shotgun blasts to the face don't always finsih off a boar, much less three of them at a time making a B-line for the scientist - often ignoring the player as you pump them full of slugs and buckshot. So many enemies come at you in waves, sometimes simultaneously.and many are those boars that just take a ton of ammo to bring down. This mission is awful! The other stalkers are more hindrance than help.they get picked off in no time because enemies emerge from the tall grass. Okay, so in the Jupiter area, scientists in the bunker give you two missions to guard other Stalkers while they take readings.
